Mamoru Taneda,
President of
the Rinku General Medical Center

Welcome to the Rinku General Medical Center!

The Rinku General Medical Center (RGMC) is a complex medical facility consisted of the Izumisano Municipal Hospital which is the core hospital in Senshu area (the southern part of Osaka Prefecture), the Osaka Prefecture Senshu Critical Care Medical Center which is the Level 1 emergency-response center and the Izumisano City Infectious Disease Center which was designated as the medical institution to admit patients with infectious diseases including specific and even unknown ones according to the enforcement of a new law about infectious diseases in the April of 1999.

We at RGMC provide the highest level of patient care as the Osaka Prefecture Pivotal Hospital for Natural Disaster and Kansai International Air Port Emergency Planned Medical Institution. We also have been devoting our medical resources to care three major lifestyle related diseases in Japan. Especially, in the Senshu area, we are the core hospital to provide specialized medical services for the patients who have stroke, myocardial infarction and cancers with our advanced information technology. Fortunately, there are many hospitals and clinics with excellent specialties in this area. These medical facilities including RGMC have been trying to meet the needs of our community with function sharing system by utilizing the strong point and the specialty of each facility.

Our physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals are dedicated, caring and expert at the art of healing. Besides, we place a highly priority on medical education not only for physicians, but for co-medical staffs, for example pharmacists and nurses. We have a unique teaching program including the training at Critical Care Medical Center. In the Critical Care Division, one of our nurses has been certificated as the first Certified Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Japan and we are keeping the supporting program for the nurses to gain the certification for CNS.

For the patients who don't understand Japanese well, we have started "International Clinic" in 2006. We have a doctor who speaks Portuguese and provide trained medical interpreters in English and Spanish.

Our strength lies in excellent medical staffs and abundant clinical experiences that have and will enable us to develop new diagnostic and treatment techniques. We are making efforts to contribute to the progress of medicine here and abroad.

Rinku General Medical Center - We are devoted to keeping our community in the best of the health.
