International Clinic

International Clinic has opened!

We of Rinku General Medical Center (RGMC) have opened an International Clinic from April 2006.

Consultation is available in English, Portuguese and Spanish from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Tuesday at the Health Care Center.

For patients who speak English, we provide trained medical interpreters. They will accompany patients during the entire process from reception to payment. The consultation is covered by Japanese Health Insurance, but if you don't have any Japanese Health Insurance, you have to pay the total medical fee yourself in cash.

The consultation is by advance appointment only, so it may be difficult to treat patients who are in the acute period. Our clinic is mainly for patients who have trouble due to the language barrier, such as those who hesitate to consult doctors because they cannot communicate with doctors, or who cannot understand the result of examinations at other clinics or hospitals.

The International Clinic is a general practice and we will refer patients to specialized departments when needed. In most cases, further consultation will be on other days. We provide English medical interpreters for consultation at the departments within RGMC. We can not provide interpreters for other clinics or hospitals, but we will issue referral letters.

For the patients who speak Portuguese and Spanish, the doctor will consult in both languages. If needed, she will accompany you to other departments in RGMC.
